BTC Futures Trading on WEEX: Claim BTC Rewards Before Sep 25
BTC futures trading on WEEX means trading the BTCUSDT perpetual contract, which offers 1x to 400x leverage, a 0.0001 BTC minimum order, and a 0.02% maker / 0.08% taker fee at the base VIP tier. Until September 25, 2026, WEEX is also running a "Trade to Share 1 BTC" event that pays new users up to 9 USDT in BTC for their first deposit and first trade, plus 3 USDT in BTC per day to anyone who clears a daily spot volume target. This guide covers the contract specs that matter, the leverage math most beginners skip, and how to collect the BTC rewards while setting up a futures account.
One point up front, because it changes how you plan: the event's tasks count spot activity, not futures volume. The reward is paid in BTC, but you earn it on the spot side. For a trader heading into BTC futures, that makes it a useful on-ramp rather than a futures rebate.
The "Trade to Share 1 BTC" Event: What BTC Futures Traders Get
The Trade to Share 1 BTC event runs from September 15, 2026 18:00 to September 25, 2026 18:00 (UTC+8). The total pool is 1 BTC, handed out first-come, first-served, so the budget can run dry before the end date.

There are three tasks:
- First deposit reward (new users only): make a net deposit of at least 100 USDT and receive 5 USDT in BTC. Net deposit means deposits minus withdrawals, and only on-chain and P2P deposits count. Internal WEEX transfers don't.
- First trade reward (new users only): complete a first spot trade of at least 30 USDT in BTC, ETH, or SUI and receive 4 USDT in BTC.
- Daily trading check-in (all users): reach at least 100 USDT in daily spot volume and receive 3 USDT in BTC for that day. Volume is buy plus sell, and every qualifying day pays separately.
"New users" means accounts registered during the event window. New users need to finish both Task 1 and Task 2 to claim the full welcome package.
What that adds up to, as of September 18. A new user who signs up today, deposits 100 USDT, makes one BTC spot trade, and hits the daily check-in on each day from September 18 through September 25 could collect up to 5 + 4 + (8 × 3) = 33 USDT in BTC, provided the pool hasn't been exhausted. Existing users can still earn the 3 USDT daily check-in.
The cost of qualifying is small. At WEEX's base spot fee of 0.1% on both maker and taker, 100 USDT of daily spot volume costs about 0.10 USDT in fees against a 3 USDT reward. Price movement during your trade is the larger variable, not the fee.
The fine print worth reading before you start:
- API-generated volume is excluded.
- Market makers, institutional accounts, project team accounts, and self-trading accounts are ineligible.
- New users can claim only one welcome reward across all WEEX new-user events; if you join several, only the first reward paid out is credited.
- Rewards arrive within 10 working days after the event ends, and the BTC amount is calculated at the BTC price on the distribution date, not the day you qualified.
BTCUSDT Perpetual Specs on WEEX
The contract you'll trade after onboarding is the BTCUSDT perpetual. A perpetual has no expiry date. It tracks spot through a funding rate paid between longs and shorts at set intervals.
Contract parameters and market data as shown on WEEX on September 18, 2026:
- Last price: about 77,470 USDT, up roughly 1.35% over 24 hours (range 75,975.3 to 77,639.6)
- 24h volume: about 1.39 billion USDT
- Funding rate: 0.008816% for the current interval (positive, so longs pay shorts)
- Leverage: 1x to 400x (the order panel defaults to 20x cross margin)
- Contract size and minimum order: 1 lot = 0.0001 BTC, which is also the minimum order, roughly 7.75 USDT of notional at current prices
- Maximum order: 100 BTC per market order, 1,200 BTC per limit order
- Price protection: limit orders capped at 1% from the reference price, market orders limited to 5% slippage
- Fees (VIP 0): 0.02% maker, 0.08% taker, from the WEEX fee schedule
The 0.0001 BTC minimum matters more than the 400x headline for a new trader. It means you can open a real position with a few dollars of margin at low leverage and learn how funding, mark price, and liquidation behave before sizing up.
How Leverage Really Works in BTC Futures Trading
Leverage doesn't change how far BTC moves. It changes how far BTC needs to move before your margin is gone. Ignoring fees and maintenance margin, the approximate adverse move that wipes out your initial margin is 100% divided by your leverage:
- 5x: about a 20% move, or roughly 15,500 USDT on BTC at 77,470
- 20x: about a 5% move, roughly 3,870 USDT
- 100x: about a 1% move, roughly 775 USDT
- 400x: about a 0.25% move, under 200 USDT
Liquidation arrives before those levels, because the exchange closes positions once margin falls to the maintenance requirement. Bitcoin covered a 24-hour range of about 1,660 USDT on the day these figures were taken, which is enough to liquidate a careless 100x position twice.
Fees compound with leverage in a way most beginners miss. Fees are charged on notional, not on margin. A taker order at 0.08% on a 20x position costs 1.6% of your margin to open and another 1.6% to close. That's 3.2% of your stake gone on a round trip before the trade does anything. At 100x, the same round trip costs 16% of margin. Resting limit orders at the 0.02% maker rate cut that cost to a quarter.
Funding adds a smaller, ongoing charge. With the rate at 0.008816%, a 10,000 USDT long pays about 0.88 USDT per funding interval. That's trivial for an intraday trade and meaningful for a leveraged position held for weeks through a crowded, positive-funding market.
The better reading of the 400x cap: it's a ceiling, not a recommendation. For a first month of BTC futures trading, effective leverage in the low single digits plus a stop-loss set before entry is a far safer starting point.

How to Start BTC Futures Trading and Qualify for the Event
This sequence covers both the BTC rewards and the move into futures:
- Register through the event page. Use the "Register Now" or "Sign Up" button on the event page so the account is enrolled. Complete identity verification if prompted.
- Deposit at least 100 USDT on-chain or via P2P. Internal transfers don't count toward the net deposit, and withdrawing during the event lowers your net figure.
- Make your first spot trade of 30 USDT or more. Buying BTC on the BTC/USDT spot market qualifies, and so do ETH and SUI.
- Clear 100 USDT of spot volume on each day you want the check-in. Buying 50 USDT of BTC and selling it later counts as 100 USDT, since volume is buy plus sell. Do it manually; API volume is excluded.
- Transfer margin to your futures account. Move only the amount you're prepared to lose, and keep the rest in spot.
- Open a small BTCUSDT perp position at low leverage. Lower the default 20x before placing the order, choose cross or isolated margin deliberately, and attach a take-profit and stop-loss from the order panel.
- Watch mark price and funding, not just last price. Liquidation is calculated off the mark price, which can differ from the last trade during fast moves.
If you want the spot-versus-perp context first, WEEX's Bitcoin price page shows the live spot price alongside links to BTC spot and futures markets.
What Experienced BTC Futures Traders Usually Watch
In practice, most first-month losses come from the same few things:
- Cross margin plus an oversized position. In cross mode, a losing BTC trade can draw on your whole futures balance. Isolated margin caps the damage at what you assigned to that trade.
- Market orders in fast markets. WEEX limits market-order slippage to 5%, and on a leveraged position 5% can be the entire margin. Limit orders are cheaper and more predictable.
- Crowded funding. Persistently positive funding means longs are paying to stay in. When those positions unwind, the drop tends to be sharp.
- Treating the event as free money. The BTC reward is small and fixed. The price risk on the spot trades you make to qualify, and on any futures position you open afterward, is not.
Bottom Line on BTC Futures Trading with WEEX's BTC Event
For BTC futures trading, the WEEX BTCUSDT perpetual gives you a low entry size, deep volume, and published fees of 0.02% / 0.08%. Until September 25, 2026, the "Trade to Share 1 BTC" event adds up to 9 USDT in BTC for new users plus 3 USDT in BTC for every day you clear 100 USDT of spot volume, while the 1 BTC pool lasts. Treat the rewards as a way to fund your first steps, start the perp at low leverage, and scale only after you've watched funding and mark price through a few volatile days.
Join the Trade to Share 1 BTC event before the pool runs out, then open the BTCUSDT perpetual when you're ready.
FAQ
1. Does BTC futures trading volume count toward the WEEX 1 BTC event?
No. The first-trade task requires a BTC, ETH, or SUI spot trade, and the daily check-in counts spot volume (buy plus sell). Futures volume doesn't qualify.
2. What is the maximum leverage for BTC futures on WEEX?
As of September 18, 2026, the BTCUSDT perpetual supports 1x to 400x. The order panel defaults to 20x, so lower it before your first order if you want less exposure.
3. How much can a new user earn from the event?
5 USDT in BTC for a net deposit of 100 USDT or more, 4 USDT in BTC for a first spot trade of 30 USDT or more, and 3 USDT in BTC for each day with at least 100 USDT of spot volume. Signing up on September 18 and checking in every day through September 25 gives a ceiling of about 33 USDT in BTC, if the pool lasts.
4. When are the BTC rewards paid?
Within 10 working days after the event ends on September 25, 2026 at 18:00 (UTC+8). The BTC amount is calculated at the BTC price on the distribution date.
5. What's the smallest BTC futures position I can open on WEEX?
0.0001 BTC, which is one contract lot, or about 7.75 USDT of notional with BTC near 77,470 USDT.
Risk Warning
Crypto assets are highly volatile, and trading them can result in partial or total loss of your funds. BTC futures carry additional risk. Leverage magnifies losses as well as gains, and a move of a few percent can liquidate a leveraged position entirely. Funding payments, trading fees, and slippage in fast markets raise the cost of holding positions. Event rewards are limited, paid out first-come, first-served, subject to eligibility rules, and valued at the BTC price on the distribution date, so their final value may differ from the USDT figures shown. Event terms can be changed, extended, or cancelled by WEEX. Derivatives trading may be restricted in your jurisdiction. Nothing in this article is investment advice.
