$1.415 Million Refund Lawsuit, Controversy Over Z Squared Stock Restrictions
A couple of American investors has filed a breach of contract lawsuit against Broad Street Global Management. They claim that although they chose a cash refund, it was changed to restricted stock connected to Z Squared (ZSQR). The lawsuit was filed on September 4, 2026, in the Southern District of Florida, with case number 1:26-cv-26135. The couple's investment amounts to $1,415,373, and it is reported that Broad Street Global Fund offered either cash redemption or stock receipt in November 2025, but the couple chose cash. The plaintiffs argue that their choice was changed to stock receipt just before the cash payment deadline of May 27, 2026. Z Squared completed its business combination with Coaptis Therapeutics on April 24, 2026, and began trading on NASDAQ from April 27. Z Squared recorded $1,583,485 in revenue from mining Dogecoin and Litecoin in the second quarter of 2026, with Dogecoin mining revenue accounting for $1,393,010, or 88% of the total. The connection between Broad Street and Z Squared lies in the transaction structure that exchanged mining assets for stock. In this lawsuit, the court did not rule on the change of refund choice or the amount of damages.
