68 DeFi Protocols Activate Fee Redistribution Structure
68 DeFi protocols are currently operating a structure that redistributes fee revenues to token holders. According to DeFi Lama on the 31st, there are 106 protocols with token rights indicators, of which 68 are activating fee conversions. Over the past 30 days, the earnings for token holders have totaled $13.071 million, while the total revenue for all protocols has been recorded at $1.072 billion. The revenue redistribution in DeFi differs from traditional stock cash dividends, as it is achieved through a reduction in token supply or staking rewards. In the case of Hyperliquid, 99% of daily fees are used to purchase HYPE, resulting in the acquisition of 44 million HYPE as of April 30, 2026. Uniswap has proposed a structure that utilizes fees for UNI token burning, while PancakeSwap connects fees to buybacks and burns. Conversely, Aave has suspended buybacks for financial flexibility. The impact of revenue redistribution on token prices remains uncertain, and the effects of fee conversions on liquidity must also be considered.
