Bitcoin's Hashrate Rises as Miners Reactivate Their Machines

The hashrate of Bitcoin is experiencing a recovery after a period of decline. According to data from CryptoQuant, the computing power dedicated to the Bitcoin network is beginning a new upward movement, ending the recent downward trend. The hashrate is a key indicator of the network's health and miners' engagement. This increase indicates a redeployment of mining capacities, with operators adjusting their activity based on profitability, influenced by the price of Bitcoin, electricity costs, and mining difficulty. Currently, the price of Bitcoin is around $85,900, up 2.34% over 24 hours and more than 12% over seven days, which is providing a boost to mining farms. However, the hashrate is a volatile metric in the short term, and a temporary rebound does not guarantee a structural reversal. The last few months have been challenging for miners, with analysts mentioning capitulation and a hashrate at a low point. The sustainability of this recovery remains to be confirmed, as a prolonged increase in hashrate would lead to an adjustment in mining difficulty, enhancing the network's security.
