Block Festa 2026 to be Held in Yeouido, Seoul on October 1
The blockchain and virtual asset event 'Block Festa 2026' will take place on October 1 at the IFC The Forum in Yeouido, Seoul. This year's theme is 'Institutions Stand on the Chain', covering topics such as Korean won stablecoins, real-world assets, asset tokenization, and Asian on-chain financial infrastructure. The first session will feature a keynote speech by Arthur Hayes, CIO of Maelstrom, followed by a presentation on global distribution strategies for the Korean stock market by Kim Se-hee, a senior researcher at Eugene Investment & Securities. This will be followed by a discussion on the financial competitiveness of Korean won stablecoins by Kim Jong-wan, head of the digital asset team at Mirae Asset Securities, and Kim Kang-ho, CEO of New Frontier Partners Group. In the second session, Seo Sang-min, chairman of the Kaia DLT Foundation, will deliver a keynote speech, with Steve Jung, CEO of The Block, and Shim Min-seop, head of digital assets at Meritz Securities, addressing on-chain financial issues. Lee Yun-ho, CEO of Kaia DLT, and Lim Byeong-hwa, a professor at Sungkyunkwan University, will discuss stablecoins and on-chain finance. Block Festa is an event focused on digital assets for institutions, now in its eighth year, and will be held during Korea Blockchain Week.
