A California duo has been indicted for darknet drug trafficking and laundering hundreds of thousands of dollars in cryptocurrency from fentanyl and methamphetamine sales. Nicholas Aguilar and Jessica Marcolina allegedly operated under the name "HotGirlzClub" on multiple darknet marketplaces, shipping over 500 drug parcels nationwide over a seven-month period in 2025. They are accused of laundering drug sale proceeds through crypto transactions to conceal the source of the funds. During searches of their residence, authorities found drug packaging materials, a food processor with suspected narcotics residue, firearms, and warning labels for customers. The suspects also allegedly manufactured ghost guns and suppressors. If convicted, Aguilar and Marcolina face up to life in prison for drug trafficking conspiracy and up to 20 years for money laundering conspiracy. This indictment is part of a broader U.S. crackdown on illicit drug trafficking and crypto-based money laundering.
