Cosmos EVM Module Faces Security Incident, Multiple Chains Affected
The users of the Cosmos EVM module are currently affected by an ongoing security incident. Cosmos Labs has advised the relevant chains to request validators to pause chain operations. A report on the incident will be published after the issue is resolved. Community member De pointed out that when the Cosmos engineering team released version v0.7.2 on August 19, they only provided a brief silent note stating "includes important security fixes, all chains should coordinate upgrades as soon as possible," without issuing a public security announcement or notifying through major channels, resulting in attacks on multiple chains including MANTRA, TAC, KiiChain, and Nesa.
