DeepSeek Annual Revenue Reaches $400 to $500 Million, V4 API Gross Margin Exceeds 50%

DeepSeek's annual revenue recently reached between $400 million and $500 million, primarily generated from enterprises and developers calling the model via API. The annual revenue is calculated based on recent income rates for a year, rather than realized full-year income. DeepSeek's V4 API has a gross margin exceeding 50%. Although the fees are significantly lower than those of OpenAI and Anthropic, the company has optimized its infrastructure, reducing the chips required to run the model. DeepSeek plans to raise an additional 50 billion yuan, with a valuation of approximately 500 billion yuan, equivalent to about $74 billion. Based on the upper limit of annual revenue, this valuation is about 148 times the income. This valuation is part of the same financing round disclosed yesterday, which had a valuation of 480 billion yuan, approximately $71 billion, with slight differences in numerical criteria. DeepSeek is also preparing to attract overseas investors from the Middle East and will allow them to invest in US dollars.
