GMTrade Expands Perpetual Contracts for Gold and Silver on Solana
GMTrade has expanded its trading scope for perpetual contracts based on Solana (SOL) to include commodities, adding gold and silver as underlying assets. GMTrade is a decentralized exchange (DEX) for RWA perpetual contracts based on Solana, allowing users to access forex, commodities, and stock trading through their wallets, with 24/7 trading and up to 500x leverage. According to the Chainlink ecosystem, GMTrade plans to integrate Chainlink data streams on January 14, 2026, to provide price data for gold and silver. Some reports have indicated that West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil is also included in the trading targets, but only gold and silver are confirmed on the GMTrade official site and Chainlink page. Commodity perpetual contracts are synthetic derivatives that track the price of underlying assets without holding physical assets. The expansion of GMTrade's trading is interpreted as a trend of broadening the range of underlying assets from forex to metal prices. In Chainlink's Q2 2026 review, it was also noted that GMX utilized data streams for WTI, Brent crude, and natural gas perpetual contract markets. This reflects various trading infrastructures' attempts to connect commodity prices to on-chain derivatives. The confirmed facts currently are GMTrade's expansion of commodity perpetual contracts and the application of Chainlink data streams.
