Iranian President Reiterates Desire to Avoid Nuclear Weapons, Willing to Advance Negotiations with the U.S.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi reiterated on the 24th that Iran "absolutely does not" want to possess nuclear weapons and is willing to lower its uranium enrichment levels within the framework of international law and accept inspections. He stated that Iran does not choose war and does not seek war, as war is imposed. Regarding the previously signed Iran-U.S. memorandum of understanding, Raisi pointed out that "the agreement has been signed," and Iran is still willing to continue negotiations based on this foundation.
