KelpDAO Files Civil Lawsuit Against LayerZero

KelpDAO has filed a civil lawsuit against Bryan Pellegrino, co-founder and CEO of LayerZero Labs. Pellegrino stated that the claim is baseless and that he will defend himself in court in Vancouver. In April of this year, KelpDAO suffered a hack resulting in losses exceeding $292 million. The attacker gained access to the LayerZero developer account through social engineering tactics, and due to KelpDAO's use of a single-validator configuration, the target contract executed asset releases upon receiving a single valid signature, leading to the theft of rsETH.
