NBU Changes Reporting Rules for Banks and Financial Companies
The National Bank of Ukraine proposes to change the reporting rules for banks, financial companies, and credit unions regarding their active operations. The new requirements are planned to be implemented starting December 31, 2026, and in November and December 2026, institutions will be able to test them in practice. The changes affect the data submitted to the NBU Credit Register. The regulator intends to simplify the processing and analysis of data by clarifying which operations are considered active and changing the list of information that banks and financial companies must provide. Some data will be added, while others will be excluded or renamed. Reference directories for reporting will also be revised. Financial institutions will be able to submit test reports on November 1 and December 1, 2026. The draft changes have been submitted for discussion with participants in the financial market.
