Peak Begins Transition of 1 Million Units... 3.3 Million Units to Use PEAQ Collateral and Burn
Peak has applied the first phase of Economics 2.0 to the mainnet, combining machine activation with PEAQ collateral and burning. Approximately 1 million units will transition in the first week, with a total of 3.3 million units expected to transition sequentially. The activation cost will be priced in dollars, but settlements and collateral settings will be conducted in PEAQ. When machines enter the network, PEAQ will be locked as collateral, and half of the remaining collateral will be burned at the end of operations, while the rest will be moved to the treasury. This transition could remove approximately 24.6 million PEAQ from circulation, with the actual amount depending on the activation speed, machine grades, and PEAQ prices. The collateral will be used as the economic weight of the machines, securing economic status from the moment of activation. Renewal rewards will be provided in a way that lowers renewal costs rather than as cashable income. Peak utilizes Wormhole's NTT and Sunrise for connection with Solana, providing a pathway for Peak's assets to circulate in the Solana trading environment. Currently, over 6 million robots, machines, and humans have joined the network, and the number of transactions processed by machines has exceeded 48 million. In the next phase, Peak plans to introduce machine credit scores, inter-chain machine transfers, and adjustments to reward and growth credit ratios.
