Reap Launches Local Currency Stablecoins for 24/7 On-chain Forex Settlement
Reap is planning to launch local currency stablecoins in multiple countries to enable round-the-clock on-chain forex settlements. The upcoming Mexican Peso (MXN) stablecoin will be used for cross-border forex transactions during bank non-business hours, while Reap is also exploring other local currency stablecoins such as the Hong Kong Dollar, Euro, South Korean Won, and Japanese Yen. This initiative aims to break through the traditional banking settlement time constraints and provide a more efficient 24/7 on-chain solution for cross-border payments.
