SBI Holdings has completed its investment and share acquisition in the Singaporean crypto platform Coinhako, having received approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore. On July 16, it acquired a majority stake, making Coinhako a consolidated subsidiary. Coinhako's subsidiary, Hako Technology Pte. Ltd., holds a major payment institution license issued by MAS. SBI Holdings stated that this acquisition is a significant step in its global digital asset strategy, aiming to leverage Coinhako's customer resources and compliance operating experience to expand cross-border digital asset channels starting from Japan and Southeast Asia. Additionally, it plans to further integrate with its digital financial services, including the yen-pegged stablecoin JPYSC.
