Sora Ventures Founder Says Crypto Narrative Will Shift to RWA
Sora Ventures founder Jason Fang stated at the "Bitcoin Asia 2026" conference in Hong Kong that the narrative in the crypto industry is changing rather than disappearing. Three years ago, he and Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich did not anticipate the significant reaction that would arise from their attempt at a Bitcoin treasury model, nor did they foresee the emergence of the term DAT. He noted that this narrative has only lasted for two years, and as the market adjusts, attention is shifting to the next big opportunity. Fang indicated that the future direction will not be a repetition of memes or protocols, but rather something new. Currently, most companies are focusing their efforts on RWA (Real World Assets). RWA is not just about moving assets onto the blockchain; some public companies are transforming and exploring the integration of public company functions with tokens and token economics. Regarding the actions of smart money in the next 6 to 12 months, Fang pointed out that it broadly relates to RWA, specifically tokenized securities.
