Story will launch the confidential IP database IP Vault and is planning to go live on the developer network later this year
BlockBeats News, September 12, Story announced that it will launch IP Vault, which is planned to go live on the Dev Network later this year, with testnet and mainnet scheduled for release in 2026.
Story stated that IP Vault is a secure on-chain storage space attached to IP assets for storing sensitive IP data on Story. These IP Vaults are network protected and can only be accessed by the IP owner and their licensees. The Vault itself does not store the original files but holds the encryption keys needed to unlock these files, regardless of where the files are hosted (e.g., IPFS, Shelby). After registering an IP, the IP owner can attach sensitive information to the IP Vault at any time.
