Swiss Bitcoin Pay Faces Malicious Attack, Temporarily Shuts Down Servers
Bitcoin payment service provider Swiss Bitcoin Pay announced that it has temporarily shut down its servers for investigation and security reinforcement due to a malicious user breaching its internal systems. Preliminary assessments suggest that accessed data may include user email addresses, Bitcoin addresses, IBAN accounts, transaction records, and hashed passwords, though it remains unclear if any other information was accessed. The company confirmed that user funds are secure, and all outstanding payments to users will be fully refunded, with no specific timeline for service restoration currently available.
