Trump Demands Money from Europe for Aid to Ukraine During Biden's Presidency
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Washington will demand money from Europe for military assistance provided to Ukraine during Joe Biden's administration. Trump noted that the Biden administration has supplied Ukraine and NATO with more ammunition than U.S. forces used in Iran. He emphasized that hundreds of billions of dollars have been given to Ukraine and NATO for free, and Europe should pay for it. According to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, total U.S. aid to Ukraine amounted to €115.38 billion, of which military assistance is estimated at €64.62 billion. Trump also mentioned that the U.S. is stockpiling ammunition and preparing for potential emergencies, and that arms sales to allies will soon resume. He added that upon returning to the White House, he would stop aiding Kyiv and shift to commercial relations.
