A Wind Power Plant with a Capacity of Up to 22 MW Will Be Built in Mykolaiv Region
The company LLC "Aravan Energy" plans to construct a wind power plant with a capacity of up to 22 MW in the Mykolaiv region, near the village of Berezanka. The new power plant will generate approximately 44 GWh of electricity per year and provide a 4-hour power reserve. To implement the project, a land plot of up to 10.77 hectares will be reclassified from agricultural use to energy land. The project includes 11 Vestas V80 and/or Vestas V90 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 2 MW, tower heights of 100 meters, and rotor diameters ranging from 80 to 90 meters depending on the model. A new transformer substation and cable infrastructure will also be built to connect to the "Berezan" substation. The expected operational lifespan of the equipment is up to 25 years, with each turbine producing about 4 GWh of electricity annually. After commissioning the wind power plant, the company plans to build a block-module energy storage system of container type with a capacity of up to 120 MWh and a storage power of up to 30 MW, with a backup operation of up to four hours.
