dtcpay Completes 25 Million USD Series A with SBI Group Investment
Singapore-based digital payments company dtcpay has completed a 25 million USD Series A funding round, with Japan's SBI Group joining as a strategic investor. Vertex Ventures led the initial financing, while SBI Group's involvement enhances the company's shareholder base as it expands its stablecoin payment infrastructure. dtcpay operates a payment system that enables merchants and businesses to transition between fiat and digital assets, and is licensed in Singapore as a Major Payment Institution. The funding will support the development of merchant payment and cross-border settlement services. Stablecoins are increasingly appealing to payment companies for their ability to facilitate quicker cross-border transactions without the volatility associated with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum. SBI Group's extensive network in banking, securities, and digital assets adds strategic value to dtcpay's growth in Asia.
