Goldman Sachs Asset Management Expects the Federal Reserve Will Not Enter a Sustained Rate Hike Cycle
Goldman Sachs Asset Management stated in a report that it does not expect the Federal Reserve to enter a sustained rate hike cycle. The firm believes that price pressures related to tariffs and energy may dissipate, the economy shows little signs of overheating, and inflation expectations remain anchored. The dot plot from last week's Federal Reserve meeting indicated one more rate hike this year. According to LSEG data, the money market pricing shows that a total of 37 basis points will be raised in the remaining two meetings of the Federal Reserve this year.
