Intel CPU Prices Set to Rise by 10%
Intel's PC CPUs are expected to increase in price by 10% in early October. Over the past year, Intel has gradually raised CPU prices due to rising overall costs. Despite a slight projected decline in the PC terminal market by 2027, Intel has chosen to raise prices, indicating that improving gross margins is a primary goal. Analysts point out that if Intel uses low gross margins as a key criterion for product retention, it may lead to the withdrawal of certain products from the market. This could provide opportunities for companies like MediaTek and Qualcomm in the Arm camp, especially in the IPC, edge computing, and IoT markets, where Arm SoCs offer high integration and low power consumption advantages.
