NVIDIA Leads with 74,319 Holders of Robinhood Stock Tokens
NVIDIA's tokenized stock has recorded 74,319 holders on the Robinhood platform, making it the most held stock token. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust ranks seventh with 26,579 holders. Robinhood launched its mainnet and stock tokens on July 1, operating on a Layer 2 solution based on the Arbitrum platform. Stock tokens are available in over 120 countries. As of the 29th, the OpenSea public token page shows SpaceX with 55,859 holders, Apple with 47,263, and Tesla with 41,753, following NVIDIA. Robinhood describes stock tokens as tokenized debt securities issued by Robinhood Asset Management, providing economic exposure to U.S. stocks and ETFs without granting legal rights. Stock tokens can be stored and transferred in ERC-20 format and can be integrated with on-chain applications. Robinhood has stated that stock tokens are not available in the U.S., and sales to U.S. residents are also restricted. The increase in the number of holders indicates a growing exposure of individual users to tokenized stocks. However, initial usage has been more focused on meme coins and stablecoins. Since its launch in July, Robinhood has continued experimenting with tokenized stocks and DeFi integration.
