SharpLink CEO Predicts AI Agents Will Reshape Financial System, Creating $4 Trillion Value by 2035
SharpLink CEO Joseph Chalom stated that the integration of AI agents with stablecoins, tokenization of real-world assets, and DeFi will lead to a redistribution of over $1 trillion in annual revenue for the global financial services industry by 2030, with this figure expected to reach $4 trillion by 2035. AI agents will serve as the automation layer of the new financial system, managing investors' financial activities, and are projected to save investors approximately $350 billion in fees by 2030, increasing to $1.4 trillion by 2035, effectively eliminating nearly a quarter of costs in the global financial industry. Stablecoins, tokenized assets, and DeFi will provide the programmable financial infrastructure for AI agents, enabling them to autonomously execute asset transfers, collateralization, lending, and settlement. Chalom pointed out that financial institutions such as Visa, Mastercard, Stripe, PayPal, Circle, Tether, Robinhood, Coinbase, Binance, as well as JPMorgan, Citigroup, and BlackRock are competing for the infrastructure and user entry points of the AI agent financial ecosystem. Additionally, Coinbase's launch of the x402 inter-machine stablecoin payment standard and Ethereum's ERC-8004 agent identity protocol are forming a new open agent economy, with over 10,000 AI agents completing registration within 10 weeks of the ERC-8004 going live.
