Visa Survey Shows Willingness to Adopt Stablecoins Rises from 36% to 56%
The report "Money Travels 2026" released by Visa indicates that based on a survey of 2,192 American adults, if stablecoins are equipped with bank-level fraud protection and deposit insurance, consumer willingness to use them will increase from 36% to 56%; if offered through existing financial institutions, the willingness can rise to 45%. The survey also revealed that 56% of respondents have never heard of stablecoins, and 64% trust payment providers more than the technology itself. Currently, the total supply of dollar-pegged stablecoins globally has exceeded $295 billion, with USDT accounting for approximately $183.4 billion and USDC for about $76 billion; Visa's annualized settlement volume for stablecoins has surpassed $20 billion, growing more than 15 times compared to a year ago.
