New Details Emerge in Anthropic Max Subscription Lawsuit, Promotional Multipliers Have Session Limits
A class-action lawsuit reveals that the '5x/20x' usage advertised for Anthropic's Max 5x and Max 20x subscriptions only applies within a 5-hour session window, and there is a total usage cap set weekly, indicating a significant gap between actual usage and promotion. The lawsuit points out that Anthropic had cut off support for the Claude subscription from the third-party application OpenClaw, citing the need to maintain a heavy user experience. This lawsuit was initially filed in June, and Anthropic has not responded to it.
