Global Cryptocurrency ATM Count Drops to 27,358
The number of cryptocurrency ATMs worldwide has fallen to 27,358, returning to levels not seen since 2021, with a decrease of 587 ATMs since July 8, including a reduction of 476 in the United States. Since the beginning of 2023, 35 states in the U.S. have passed legislation regarding cryptocurrency ATMs and kiosks, with Indiana, Tennessee, and Minnesota banning such devices, while Vermont has extended the pause on new installations. The U.S. still accounts for 71.4% of the total global cryptocurrency ATMs, Canada for 13.5%, Oceania for 7%, and Europe for 5.6%. Together, the U.S., Canada, and Australia make up approximately 91% of the global total.
