Lenovo Shares Rise 19% Due to 43% Revenue Growth
Shares of Chinese computer manufacturer Lenovo Group Ltd. rose by 19% following the release of its financial report, which showed a 43% increase in quarterly revenue. The results exceeded analysts' expectations and bolstered optimism regarding demand for artificial intelligence technologies. During trading in Hong Kong, the shares reached a new historical high. Since the beginning of the year, Lenovo's stock has surged more than 260%, making the company a leader in growth within the Hang Seng China Enterprise Index. Analysts at Citigroup noted strong growth across all segments and reaffirmed the key role of artificial intelligence technologies as the main market driver. Additionally, shares of Taiwanese company Asustek Computer Inc. jumped 10% after reporting a 61% increase in operating profit for the first half of the year. It was previously reported that Lenovo's shares reached their highest level in 27 years due to demand for artificial intelligence servers.
