Sequans Sells 314 Bitcoins, Eliminates Cryptocurrency Exposure
Sequans, a French semiconductor company, announced the sale of 314 bitcoins, eliminating its exposure to the cryptocurrency. In October 2025, the company held 3,234 bitcoins but began to divest them in the same month. In May, Sequans sold half of its remaining reserve and planned to end its exposure to the crypto market after June. Data from Bitcoin Treasuries indicates that Sequans purchased its bitcoins at an average price of $116,707, close to the cryptocurrency's all-time high, resulting in sales at a loss. The last sale was completed on June 30, 2026, with the aim of strengthening its balance sheet and focusing on growth in the semiconductor sector. The company stated that it has no outstanding debts, except those related to government-funded projects. Dr. Georges Karam, CEO of Sequans, emphasized that the completion of the sale is an important milestone and reflects a disciplined execution of its financial strategy. Last week, KULR Technology also sold all of its 764 bitcoins. Despite this, other companies continue to buy, such as Strategy, which acquired 950 bitcoins this week. Currently, public companies hold 1.27 million bitcoins, an increase of 0.8% in the last 30 days.
