Touch Grass Conducts Stock Token Reward Experiment on Robinhood Chain
Touch Grass is currently conducting a location-based stock token reward experiment on the Robinhood Chain. Users can claim tokenized stock pieces placed on a map when they move near actual stores or offices. This service is described as a 'stock market on the map,' with stock token pieces for companies like Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, and GameStop placed at real locations. Users can move to these points and claim the tokens, which are then sent to their wallets. A total of 121 cities, 42 tokens, and 839 drop points are available, with general drops allowing up to 24 claims per day, and a single wallet can receive a maximum of 6 claims per day. GPS, movement history, and device time are used for location verification. The payment proof page shows 500 on-chain payments, 493 payment wallets, and 7 types of target stocks. Touch Grass stated that the reward pieces are not newly issued; instead, stock tokens that have entered a vault contract are sent when conditions are met. Robinhood launched the Robinhood Chain mainnet and stock tokens on July 1, claiming that stock tokens are available in over 120 countries, but they are not offered to U.S. users. Robinhood stock tokens provide economic exposure to the underlying stocks but do not grant legal rights. Touch Grass clarified that it has no partnership with Robinhood or related companies.
