135,694 Crypto-Millionaires, 92,272 Bitcoin-Millionaires in 2026
In 2026, there are 135,694 crypto-millionaires in the world, whose digital assets are valued at least at $1 million. The total market capitalization of the cryptocurrency market as of August 31 was $2.6 trillion, of which $1.6 trillion was attributed to Bitcoin. The number of Bitcoin millionaires stands at 92,272, and 290 individuals own digital assets worth over $100 million, of which 151 have capital in Bitcoin. There are 23 crypto-billionaires in the world, 9 of whom became so thanks to Bitcoin. Cryptocurrencies are owned by about 742 million people, including 371 million Bitcoin holders. The current market downturn is less severe than previous crypto winters when Bitcoin lost over 75% of its value after peaks in 2011, 2013, 2017, and 2021. The growth of cryptocurrency wealth is influencing the choice of residence for wealthy investors, who are increasingly paying attention to the regulatory environment.
