唐华斑竹: Quantum Computing Becomes a Core Risk Point in the Cryptocurrency Field

By: x.com|09/26/2026 06:53:50

According to Twitter user 唐华斑竹, the three major financial regulatory agencies in Europe, EBA, EIOPA, and ESMA, have listed quantum computing as a core emerging risk affecting the cryptocurrency sector in their latest technology risk update. Currently, many cryptocurrencies rely on elliptic curve cryptography for security, and theoretically, quantum computers could break this protective system using Shor's algorithm. Google researchers estimate that the resources required to execute such an attack are about 20 times lower than previously estimated. Although quantum hardware capable of reaching the attack threshold has not yet been deployed, blockchain developers are already exploring post-quantum cryptography. GOAT Network aims to create the most secure decentralized network, with a development path that includes a Bitcoin cross-chain bridge and post-quantum security research, which has supported its security positioning.
